Tlabung, Mizoram Trip: August 2026

I went for an anther exotic official trip to Mizoram, in Tlabung. This village is in Lunglei district. The accomodation was good. We stayed in the Tlabung tourist lodge. I have taken a cottage where we four of us stayed for a week.

My itenary

From Delhi, I reached Lenpui, Airport from there I directly went to Aizawl and did 2 day stay there and met officials over there and I was waiting for other members to join, two team members were coming from Guwhati, and one fellow from Marpara, Mizoram. We four of us on Bolero started our journey to Tlabung at 6:30 am and talked to few officials at Lunglei and had lunch at Hotel grand, that’s the only restaurant which was presentable and we were able to eat. we reached the Tlabung touris guest house at 7:00 pm. We all had Dal and Chawal on that day and sleped as we were all tired.

My stay at Tlabung.

We have already booked a cottage, which contains a big living room and two rooms, with river side view. The stay was comfortable. on the arriving the day we took good rest the next day, met officials and started our work on the next day. I kept car with me for conveneince. First day we visited Diblibag village and in the subsequent days we went to Tuichawg which is 22 kms form Tlabung. Everyday we finish our work by 02:30 pm and come back and I have lunch and rest of the day we relax. In the evening we all again sit together to complete the paper work. by 9:30 pm we go to sleep. Before that we go for a short work after dinner. We wake up very early in the morning at around 05:30 am and by after breakfast we used to go for our work.
