Surajpur Wetlands Forest: March 2026

I recently went on another refreshing nature trip to the Surajpur Wetlands and Forest. Uttar Pradesh Earth Walks put it together, and Mr. Rohit Sharma and Mr. Salil Dutta led it.

Even though this isn't the best time of year to visit because many migratory birds have already started their journey back, we were still lucky to see some amazing things. Seeing the beautiful Bar-headed Geese was definitely one of the best parts of the day.

There were about 18 to 20 people at the event, which was a small but enthusiastic group. They all wanted to explore and connect with nature. I left home at 5:15 am and got to the place by 6:15 am, so my day started early. We started our walk around 7:10 am after a short meeting and orientation.

Even though it wasn't peak season, the wetlands were full of birds, which gave us a lot to see and enjoy. The peaceful setting, the fresh morning air, and the joy of watching birds made the trip worth it.

We finished the trail in about two hours, and I was back home by 10:30 in the morning, with another peaceful and enriching memory from the wild.
